Supporting Charity through Classic Negroni Cocktails

Negroni

By coincidence, I tried a Negroni cocktail. It was during one of those many times I was being indecisive about what to order. I only got it because the lady sitting next to me ordered one and said it was her favorite. While I enjoyed the drink, I wasn’t convinced I would ever have one again.

But then, I learned that this week is Negroni Week, an annual nationwide event sponsored by Imbibe Magazine and Campari. Since 2013 they have raised almost a million dollars. All in the name of a classic drink that I never tried until recently.

When my friend Lisa from Fun Money Mom wanted to do another Facebook Live video with me, it only made sense to support this great cause. Plus, she’s never tried a Negroni before either. If you missed it, don’t worry. You can catch it here:

I have to say I enjoyed my 2nd Negroni and absolutely love the fact that it’s super easy to make. What are your thoughts?

Don’t forget to keep tabs on the Negroni Week action on Imbibe’s Instagram and Twitter feeds (@imbibe) and by following the #NegroniWeek hashtag. And, of course, be sure to mix yourself a Negroni or find a participating restaurant and help raise money for charity!

The nice thing is they are super easy to make. I just read a version where someone added chocolate bitters that I might have to try! Cheers!

I’ve never had one (honestly not a huge fan of campari) but I’ll give it a try one day by the pool. I love your enthusiasm in your video too!

Drinking is a good activity. Drinking for a cause is a GREAT activity! I will have to check out this Negroni website and donate to the cause. Thank you, Kim!

I drink campari and soda all summer long. Long glass. It’s bittersweet–not sweet at all. Herbal taste. Wonderful.

Thanks! This drink is easy to make, but probably not the best suited for a non-drinker. It’s quite strong. But we’ll pull you in….. CHEERS!
