Filling In for Some Big Shoes at Clearwater Beach UnCorked

Clearwater Beach UnCorked Festival

One of my favorite bloggers is Kelly Stilwell of Food, Fun & Faraway Places. I’ve gotten to know her through following her, and because she lives in my home town. So when Kelly asked me if I had any plans on Dec. 2 & 3rd I figured she needed someone to watch her dog. I don’t even know if she has a dog. But I do know that she travels a lot because I follow her adventures. So when I reluctantly said “no plans yet” (only because I live 30 minutes away) I was so happy to hear that yes, she was traveling, but needed someone to cover the Clearwater Beach UnCorked Festival for her.

I live about two hours away from Clearwater, but even I had heard how fabulous this yearly event is! There’s nothing more fun than drinking and eating with your toes in the sand. I look forward to going in her stead and hope to see you there.

The Clearwater Beach UnCorked is held directly on Clearwater Beach, south of Pier 60. From 1pm to 4pm on Dec. 2 or 3 you taste great food, wine and microbrews. I’m especially looking forward to sampling from Joseph DiPaolo. He works for Duncan Hines and was named “Top Ten Pastry Chefs in America!” Yum!

They have two types of tickets that are available to purchase now. The VIP admission includes early access. The General Admission guests will receive a limited edition wine glass, custom tote bag, and unlimited tastings.

GA tickets are normally $65 per day, but because of Kelly, you can purchase them for $40 at this link Use code CLBU17

Clearwater Beach UnCorked Festival

Money raised from Clearwater UnCorked goes to the University of South Florida School of Hospitality and Tourism Leadership program.

There are also special rates to stay at the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach hotel if you want to make a whole weekend out of it. That’s my plan. Hope to see you at the 6th annual festival!

For more information visit Kelly’s post here.  And stayed tuned for my recap after the event!

What a fun event. Makes me wish I could be in Clearwater (and fill in for Kelly once in a while). 🙂
