The Season of the Chip

Starting during Cinco de Mayo and continuing through the summer is the ultimate time to bring out the chips. And since there seems to be a holiday for every day of the week. Hello, Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day and National Sewing Machine Day. But there doesn’t seem to be anything for an entire season. Therefore, The Cocktail Couple is officially proclaiming this time of the year: The Season of the Chip.season of the chip proclamation
The inspiration behind this soon to be beloved seasonal event was because of “Food Should Taste Good chips. They offered to send us some samples to try out. The timing was perfect. We unexpectedly had half a dozen people pop over one Sunday for drinks and we didn’t have any other food on hand. The chips were a huge hit!

Without a doubt, the Blue Corn flavor was our favorite. It didn’t even need a dip to make them taste better. Seriously delicious. (Sidenote: Kim ate an entire bag in one 10 minute time frame.)

They were so good, we are even inspired to try one of their recipes for a Garlic Bacon Cheese Dip from blogger, Stuck on Sweet. (Food Should Be Good’s website has a ton of great recipes, be sure to check them out here.)

Food Should Taste Good started in 2006 with the goal of making a unique new snack with great taste, real ingredients, and sophisticated flavors. “The qualities he is most passionate about in food.”

They definitely succeeded. They offer a ton of different flavors from Tortilla chips, Kettle Cooked Chips to Brown Rice Crackers all in a variety of flavors. And best of all, they have zero grams trans fats and cholesterol free.

We can’t wait to try the Lime and White Cheddar chips next. We’re off to our local gourmet grocer, Morton’s Market, to see what flavors they have right now!

    The only part about this delightful post, is the recognition that Anna and I were not a part of the six disciples of the chip. This recognition of our non inclusion leaves us a ltlle “chippy” too.

    We are going to throw an edamame party to leave you green with envy…..
