Stay Out of the Water… Shark Week is Coming!

In honor of Shark Week starting on Discovery Channel (Sunday, Aug. 10th) and the Sharknado phenom, we asked our friend Cristine Struble if we could reprint her recent Examiner.com story. Thanks Cristine!

Shark Week

Are you ready to dive into the deep, dark water of shark week? This annual event on Discovery Channel keeps young and old glued to the television. The incredible footage of these majestic and yet terrifying creatures captures everyone’s attention.

Over the years, sharks have sparked tremendous fascination. The classic film Jaws brought about the fear of a shark lurking under the dark water. Recently, the campy Sharknado turned the ferocious aquatic animal into a terrifying flying creature.  From the comfort of the couch, viewers can separate fact from fiction and celebrate this misunderstood animal.

While watching Shark Week, Sauza Tequila and Skinnygirl Cocktails want to toast to every bite, jump and shark-filled moment. Below are a few shark-inspired cocktails to make your Shark Week experience even more satisfying.
