King Kamehameha Club’s Cocktail Menu

When I think of Magnum, I immediately think of Tom Selleck. Hence the headline that was the name of the bar in the long running 80s series. (No, I didn’t remember and had to google it.) I had the biggest crush on Magnum. Unfortunately, my good friend reminded me that he is now doing commercials for reverse mortgage loans.  Hey, even a Private Eye needs to eat.

And with that hard earned cash, he should check out Magnum Cream Liqueur. It has become my new favorite nightcap. I might have a small sweet tooth and I’m lazy – so this is the perfect drink for me to make at home. I’ve been drinking it on the rocks with just a splash of vodka. Their website offers some amazing recipes that I will be testing, maybe. I just realized the bottle is almost gone. That could be a problem when I’m craving their Magnum Milkshake or Martini. Good thing I can buy it on line.

The taste will remind you of Kahlua or Baileys – I can’t remember as I always get those two confused. But you get the idea. The official description from their website is: “Magnum Cream Liqueur™ is a delicious blend of smooth Speyside Scotch Whisky and luscious Dutch cream. Creamy notes of chocolate, caramel, and toffee play off the Scotch malt whisky for a balanced experience that is luscious but not sweet.”

I do think it’s a tad sweet and thick which is why I cut it down with some vodka.

And if you’re into Glamping, this would be on your “Must Bring” list as it comes in a super cool 100% recyclable, stainless steel canister with a strap. I’m not sure why they decided to use that type of container. Probably some marketing folks…. It does make it a cool gift and I have displayed it in front of the cabinet. So those marketing folks in Holland (where it comes from) are pretty smart.

Did I mention they won a bunch of awards? Find out why when you try it. Retails for $29.95.

Here’s my idea of Glamping, by my pool….

Looks fantastic! Looking a the picture reminds me of a white russian (splash of vodka certainly doesn’t hurt). I am going to have to give that a try. Oh, and I didn’t have to Google the King Kamehameha! Gotta love Magnum!

Your idea of glamping is about the same as mine. I’ll have to try this drink next time.
